We got 'em on camera!

Ok, so it took a while and several attempts to get the little boogers on camera...but, here they are! We also (in the same week) got a third tooth. It's on the top, though. These bottoms were hard enough to catch! Excuse the dry baby squash on her face!

Toofie!

Big news! JoAnna started cutting a tooth on Saturday...well, I'm sure that process started way back when, but the little toofie made it's debut by peaking out just a tiny bit on Saturday morning! I was suspecting it was about to happen: we had a really rough past week with the time change, shots, and apparently a tooth. It's not out much, but now I can feel it with my finger. I know posts without pics are boring, but there's no way to get a pic that close up of her...she doesn't love for me to force her tongue back and pull her lip down...haha! Maybe I'll get her to smile really big soon! 6 months, 2 weeks

SIX MONTHS OLD!!!

WOW! I can't believe I'm writing about this already. Today JoAnna had her six month check-up. Those shots were, by far, the worst yet. My poor baby could hardly catch her breath enough to cry for what seemed like sixty seconds or so. Then she let out a big scream. She is smart enough now to know who NOT to like...and if she could've only said what she must've been thinking...that nurse would've gotten a piece of her mind! Haha! She can sure talk with her eyes! (My patients say she got that from me?....well, at least there's something...) No, really, Mrs. Melinda did a good job. Anyway, we checked out beautifully! JoAnna weighs 16 lbs 3 oz and is 26.5 inches long! She is in the 50th percentile for her weight and NINETY-SEVENTH for her length! Go figure!!! We have no idea where that came from? I'm not too hopeful for her, bless her heart...I was hanging in there with the rest of 'em, myself until the age of eleven...then, well, here I am. Oh, well...I think she's perfect, no matter what! I can't believe half of the year has passed us by!

My little sweetpea...

As you can see, JoAnna was a sweetpea for Halloween. I wasn't sure if she'd like that confining suit since there isn't much leg room, but she seemed to be quite content. We went to the neighborhood party at the pool house and had a great time. I'm regretting that I didn't get pictures of all the adorable kids there. We have such a great group of young people here with plenty of kids for JoAnna to chase around one day. JoAnna was a big help handing out candy to our trick-or-treaters - for as long as she could last, that is! Hope the pics make you smile as much as they do me!

Playdate with Presley...

Erin and Presley drove down to Oxford a couple Saturdays ago just to hang out for a while and enjoy some playtime...We had fun! Bring Presley back soon, Aunt Erin!!!

Punkins galore!

Matthew and I took JoAnna to the "punkin" patch at the Episcopal church on Saturday. It was an absolutely beautiful day! We were sorry we didn't have the stroller with us to hang out on the square longer...Anyway, here are the pics of JoAnna before her bottom lip fell to the ground for whatever reason...I think she realized those pumpkins were bigger than she was!

This outfit was a must mainly because the hat was so cute...We were leaving for a haircut appointment (mine, not hers) and I just had to take a picture of her...I thought it'd be appropriate to add this to the pumpkin pictures... She was so funny trying to pick the candy corns off her pants that day!

Georgia and Aunt Lou came by the other day. We put the girls in the floor to see what they'd do. They're quite curious about that "other baby" now.

We spent last weekend in Jackson at Doc and Grancie's house. JoAnna and Reynolds got to meet for the first time on more even turf this time (it's not fair to him if we count the day he was born). JoAnna loves other babies. She looked like she REALLY wanted to hold Reynolds and definitely was interested in helping with his bottle!

JoAnna is quite fascinated with Eli! He came to Oxford with Matthew's parents and stayed the weekend. She stared at him everytime he crossed her path! She tried her hardest to get a fist full of that orange and white fur! 5 1/2 months

Cheerleader Baby

JoAnna's first day as a cheerleader was last weekend for the Ole Miss Homecoming game...no comment on the game, but JoAnna certainly enjoyed all the bright colors and interesting people in the grove! She'll be doing this for years to come, so let's hope she doesn't get too burned out and that she'll always want to hang out with her parents!! HA! 5 months
